Here's the list of the winners of our annual Beano Power Awards categories, a way of saying thank you to everything and everyone who floated your boat and gave you hope and inspiration during a pretty tough year.

Find out who won below and and and remember you can learn more about the winners here!

Positive Impact: Captain Sir Tom Moore

This was a closely fought category: Billie Eilish for her body positivity, Marcus Rashford for taking on the government to help feed hungry people, David Attenborough for his raising ecological awareness and Joe Wicks, for keeping the nation fit during lockdown. But no-one represented the positivity of 2020 quite like Captain Sir Tom Moore. The former British Army officer kept the nation's spirits lifted when, at the age of almost 100, he raised millions for the NHS thanks to a sponsored walk. He went on to be made a knight and released a hit single, too. The nation will be forever grateful for his heroic efforts.

Moment of the Year: The Vaccine

Phew! After the difficulties caused by coronavirus, 2020 ended with some good news at last thanks to some very clever scientists doing some brilliant work! Thanks to the different types of COVID-19 vaccines, it means we'll be able to return to normal in the very near future, thanks to the scientists and the health workers who are helping administer the jabs around the UK and Ireland.

LOL of the Year: Video Call Fails

The last year has been a bit rubbish times for everyone. So what has made you laugh or generally cheered you up?This hotly contested award featured: Mums Working Out To Joe Wicks, Lockdown Birthdays, Jordan's 'Happy Place' on I'm A Celebrity, and Grown Ups Using TikTok.But it was the Video Call Fails which scored the most votes in this particular category. You think you're talking to someone, then you realise you forgot to turn your microphone on! It happened to us all at one point in 2020.

Fave YouTuber: MrBeast

What would we have done without our favourite YouTubers this year? This hotly contested category featured Norris Nuts, DanTDM, LazarBeam, and the Sidemen all vying for top spot. But it was one man who captured the hearts and minds of the YouTuber voting public: MrBeast!Whether he's giving away house or just pitting his pals against some bonkers challenges, there's always something fun happening on MrBeast’s compelling YouTube channel!

Best Game: Among Us

Seeing as we were stuck indoors for much of the year, many of us turned to video games to pass the time. There were many stand out releases, as well as some updated versions of classic games. This year's nominees included Minecraft, Roblox, Subway Surfers and Animal Crossing, but there was one game which came out on top: the space-based who-on-earth-is-the-imposter game Among Us!

Best Music Artist: Ariana Grande

Ariana Grande emerged victorious in a closely-contested category which featured Ed Sheeran, Little Mix, Billie Eilish and marshmallow-headed DJ icon Marshmello!Ariana had a busy 2020. There were duets with Justin Bieber and marriage announcements, as well as an awesome new album. Well done!

Favourite Brand: YouTube

Amazon, WhatsApp, TikTok and Netflix all helped us get through a tough year in a variety of ways. But when it came to voting for your favourite brand, you voted for YouTube as one of the lockdown boredom busters. There's so much great content on there, we've worked out it would take ages to watch it all.

Movie of the Year: Sonic The Hedgehog

While our trips to the cinema weren't as frequent as we may have liked this year, streaming services came to our rescue and allowed us to enjoy the magic of movies in the comfort of our own home. This years nominees for Best Movie included The Christmas Chronicles 2, The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run, Enola Holmes and Mulan, but everyone’s super-fast spiny mammal Sonic the Hedgehog walked away with this year’s award.Well, sprinted, actually.

Show of the Year: The Masked Singer

There's been some fantastic talent shows on television this year. We've all been following the fortunes of the contestants on the likes of Britain's Got Talent, I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!, The Great British Bake Off, and Strictly Come Dancing. We asked you which show were you glued to the most in the last 12 months and you declared that The Masked Singer was your must-watch programme of 2020.

Ultimate Champion: Health Workers

There's superheroes and then there's real-life superheroes. The latter made themselves known in a huge way this year, whether it was in hospitals, schools, home or on our devices. But there was a clear winner: health workers!Doctors, nurses, and hospital staff always do their best to look after us, but this year more than most, they've been there for us during the most difficult of times.
