Gnasher’s Fleas: Pieface Flea!
From the moment they wake up until it’s time to go to bed, this flea dreams about pies!
PIE FACE FLEA – itchus crustus
Pie Face Flea is a very unusual flea and the only one to wrap its food in a crust and bake it (using the heat of Gnasher’s armpits), even if the food itself is a pie. Not many have spotted this culinary bug in the wild, but it’s easily detected by the pie crumbs it leaves behind whenever it has a savoury snack.
What inspired this creature’s love of golden crusts? Some say it was the smell of a bakery on a summer’s day. Other people say it was an episode of The Great British Bake Off. Who knows the true answer, but one thing is certain – if this flea is given flour, butter, salt, water and a very, very small oven, it’s guaranteed the itchus crustus will get to work and create a tasty treat.
If you’re lucky, you might be offered a piece. But be warned, due to the size of the flea’s hands it’ll be the size of a crumb.
