We Need YOU to Break Rules!

Yeah, you heard us right! It’s out with the old rules and in with the new – and you could win a cool prize in the process!

What new rules would you add to make the world a better place?

Rules, rules, rules. Someone’s always telling you to do something – tidy up, go to bed, sweep the cat, don’t eat the sandwich… the list goes on and on.

But while some rules are just plain boring, other rules can help make life better and that’s where you lot step in!

Lots of the rules we have in the world are OLD RULES so we want you to tell us some NEW RULES which will help to change the world for the good – these could be new rules for life, rules for the home, new rules for school – they could be new rules for whatever you think we need new rules for!

So, wanna get involved? All you have to do to enter is email us your new rules using the email address below and you could be in with a chance of winning one of 10 family ticket (two adults and two children) to the Beano: The Art of Breaking the Rules exhibition in London at Somerset House.

You can submit a maximum of THREE RULES along with your name; date of birth; and parent or guardian’s name, telephone number and email address by the competition closing date of 6pm on 8th September 2021.

The email to send entries to is: newrules@beano.com

And in case you need a bit of extra encouragement, you should know that Beano and Somerset House will select some of the entries to feature in the Beano: The Art of Breaking the Rules exhibition. How cool would that be?!

Any selected entries used will feature as part of a new commission for the Beano: The Art of Breaking the Rules exhibition, created by artist Peter Liversidge. As part of Peter’s commission the selected entries will be archived in a ‘New Rules’ book, from which visitors to the exhibition can select a new rule to be recreated on hand-painted placards.
