In 2021, the comic team at Beano HQ created publishing history, by making a spectacular hybrid of books and comics. The result? The Battle for Bash Street, which history books will describe as the first-ever "boomic"!

What on earth is a boomic? That's a very good question and we're so excited to tell you. Basically, a boomic is a cross between a book and a comic, from the minds of Beano’s I.P. Daley (with some assistance from Beano's very own Craig Graham and Mike Stirling). They're the ultimate Beano adventure in book form, packed with funny pictures illustrated by the awesome comic creator, Nigel Parkinson.

Since then, there have been five Boomics published, including The Abominable Snowmenace, Attack of the Evil Veg and The Bogeyman of Bunkerton Castle!
