Before you picture total chaos, climbing the curtains or tomato-splat-based anarchy, don’t worry - this is the good kind of mischief.
We’re also very proud to announce that in 2026, we’re partnering with the National Year of Reading, to make reading the most mischievous thing kids can do.
At Beano, we’ve never done reading by the book, so join in the fun this year, because being a kid never gets old!
When kids read Beano, they’re not just reading a comic.
They’re building a superpower fuelled by imagination, confidence and of not always accepting things exactly as they’re told. They flip expectations upside down and are encouraged to ask questions, dream things up and see the world a little differently.
That’s what we mean by creative mischief. Not rule-breaking for the sake of it, but the spark that turns doodles that turn into ideas, ideas that turn into stories, and “what if?” questions that invent something new.
Right at the heart of it all, is Dennis, our original mischief-maker, and a reminder to generations of kids (and grown-ups) that being bold and yourself is the best way to grow up.
And for grown-ups? This is your chance to become a mischief superhero again. No blazer, no tie… and absolutely no Teacher in sight.

We love hearing the Beano hit the doormat in our house every Saturday morning! The postman smiles all the way down the path when he sees our son running to the door!
Always on time, always fun. Love the extras on email and the specials like the review of the year. It continues to be the best thing that comes through our letterbox.

The moment it comes through the letter box he couldn’t be happier. It’s done wonders for encouraging independent reading.

They never put it down. My 9, 11, and 13 year old love it and have done for as long as I can remember.
Regularly arrives on time and if not then customer service very helpful. Helped my kids learn to read and made reading enjoyable and entertaining for them. Thank you!
GB
He keeps them all and happily re-reads them again and again. He likes the different characters in the magazine and because each story is short he can easily dip in and out of a magazine.
Walter Holmstrom
It’s awesome. It started in 1938 and still arrives every Wednesday in the post without fail. Filled will amazing stories and fun things to do. Great company!

My son is so excited when it arrives each week, hearing him belly laugh in his bedroom is wonderful. I was prompted to write this review by the fantastic customer service we received after an issue went missing in the post.

Brilliant, fun comic delivered regularly and read as soon as it hits the letterbox. Plenty of updates & offers for the subscriber too. A great gift to encourage reading!

They like screen time but settle down with the Beano as soon as it arrives. Happy to reread old issues. They have done well in school and are well behaved, so it certainly does them no harm.
