Ed’s first guitar was a gift from his uncle
Ed first got started on the guitar by teaching himself, before going on to have proper music lessons.
Ed’s first ever tattoo was a paw print on his left arm!
Ed admitted to having the paw print done when he was 18, although he claims the tattoo has no real significance.
Ed did his first gig at only 11 years old!
Ed’s first gig was performing the Eric Clapton song ‘Layla’ at a school concert – backed up by a pal on the piano.
He names his guitars!
Ed’s axes have many names including Lloyd, Felix, Cyril and Nigel. Why? He names them after people who work in his crew. Ain’t it sweet.
His favourite boardgame is Monopoly!
We reckon playing a game of Monopoly with Ed at Christmas would be pretty fun.
He has a cat called Bellini
Ed has a cat called Bellini who is also ginger! This is the purrrfect pet for Ed.
His fans are called Sheerios!

In his spare time apparently Ed likes to play with LEGO. How else is a pop star going to relax?
His nickname used to be Teddy!

He once ‘melted’ his foot?!
After slipping on a mountain geyser, Ed suffered a burn from the Icelandic hot springs. It took a long time to heal but he’s okay now… Phew!
Ed loves ketchup!
Not only does our Ed has a Heinz ketchup tattoo, he even suggested an advert idea to the ketchup giants which they promptly took him up on in 2019.
He nearly decided on the stage name Redward!
Bet we’re not the only ones breathing a sigh of relief that he decided against it and stuck with his original name!
