There have been a total of 8 Harry Potter movies made so far.
The series started with The Philosopher’s Stone, followed by The Chamber of Secrets, after which came The Prisoner of Azkaban.
(Phew! Still with us?).
Next we had The Goblet of Fire, followed by The Order of the Phoenix.
Finally came The Half-Blood Prince, before the epic journey ended with The Deathly Hallows, parts 1 and 2.
The books, written by J.K. Rowling, were released in the same order as the movies - which thankfully means we don’t have to read out that long list again!

It took 86 artists to construct Hogwarts itself, Harry’s feathered-friend Hedwig was played by 4 different owls and (spoiler alert) the golden snitch from Quidditch wasn’t even real gold!

There’s a world of terrific toys and magic merchandise for wannabe wizards out there, from creepy card games to cool costumes. But for us, LEGO’s Hogwarts Express train set takes some beating, especially if you have a one-track mind!
The movies were filmed all over the UK and featured scenes set in creepy old castles, spooky Scottish valleys and, er, the zoo. But the most famous location is probably St Pancras station in London, where Harry and his pals set off for Hogwarts from platform 9 3/4.
Hogwarts is packed to the brim with famous faces, from former Dr Who David Tennant to Twilight's R-Patz but did you know Zoella almost made it to the ministry of Magic? Unfortunately Zoe didn't make the final cut, but Hogwarts loss was Youtube's gain!
