Dress as a seagull and have a snack!
Any visit to the seaside wouldn’t be complete without being bothered by our feathered friends. If you can’t go to a beach, dress up as a seagull in your garden and grab a chip from someone’s plate. Remember to flap your arms!
Ah, the great outdoors! What’s more exciting than sleeping in a tent, telling stories and eating cold baked beans from a mug? When you can do it in your own garden or living room? If you don’t have a tent handy, you can always make your own den out of sheets and cushions. Plus, you can warm up your beans in the kitchen.
Spend a night at the theatre!
Why not put on your own play or stand up comedy night? We can’t guarantee the quality of your family’s jokes, so it’s best you perform them yourself. If you do well, you might even end up signing autographs at the door later on!
Build your own Legoland!
Legoland is amazing, but it’s not possible for everyone to visit. Where would everyone park? Recreate the magic of the plastic brick theme park by building your favourite things and give everyone at home a guided tour! Snacks are optional.
You don’t even have sit on a river bank for this one! Fill your bath tub or a bucket and place a few waterproof toys in the water. Next, sit on a stool and dangle a homemade fishing rod into the water. You might catch something, but remember, this is not for dinner!
Tour the world!
Here’s when having a computer or smartphone really becomes extra handy. While we’re all basically stuck at home this summer, that doesn’t mean you can’t go sightseeing. Simply fire up Google Earth and go wherever you want. Want to see the Eiffel Tower? No problem! What about the Grand Canyon? Easy! What about your friend’s street? You can probably go there too, without even leaving the sofa!
You’ve had a busy year, so why not just put your feet up and get some rest? Pop on your favourite show, grab a snack and enjoy yourself. You deserve this!
