Due to the absolutely rubbish coronavirus pandemic, this year's I'm a Celebrity... will take place at Gwyrch Castle in North Wales instead of an Australian jungle.

Find out which celebrities will be braving the elements, then take part in our reader's poll and decide who you think will be crowned winner of the new series!

JESSICA PLUMMER

Our first contestant is Jessica, who is a former Eastenders star, who played the role of hairdresser Chantelle. She recently revealed that she's has arachnophobia, which is a fear of spiders. We're certain there'll be no creepy crawlies in the old castle. Nope. None at all.

BEVERLEY CALLARD

This actress has played Liz McDonald on Coronation for years, so it will be strange for fans to see her wandering around an old Welsh castle instead of Weatherfield! She's not a fan of insects, so she might struggle during some of the challenges...

SHANE RICHIE

Like Jessica, Shane was a regular on Eastenders and you may have even seen him in panto at your local theatre! Some of his fellow contestants have admitted they're scared of spiders and all that, but his phobia is rather specific: poo!

SIR MO FARAH CBE

This Olympic gold medalist is a massive fan of the show and has a phobia of "any animal that moves", which will surely make his stay at Gwrych Castle a bit stressful. It's a good job he's a fast runner!

HOLLIE ARNOLD MBE

This Grimsby-born athlete won gold at the F46 javelin event at the Rio Paralympics four years ago. Will her throwing skills help catch any fish at Gwrych Castle?

VICTORIA DERBYSHIRE

Formerly the host of the Victoria Derbyshire Show – who else could have presented the show? – Victoria has presented many serious news-themed shows on the BBC. She's not keen on spiders, so might not have a brilliant time in the old castle. Good luck!

VERNON KAY

This Bolton-born TV presenter will miss his wife Tess Daly's appearances on Strictly Come Dancing as he enters the castle for the latest I'm a Celebrity series. While other contestants have revealed their fears of spiders and bugs, Vernon's is very different – and a bit wetter. “I don’t like being confined underwater!” he says. This could prove tricky, if previous Bushtucker trials are anything to go by.

JORDAN NORTH

This BBC Radio 1 DJ comes from Lancashire and looks set to be one of the funnier contestants on the show. But what is he most scared of? "I have so many phobias!" he says. Oh dear.

AJ PRITCHARD

AJ joins a long line of Strictly Come Dancing stars Ola Jordan, James Jordan, Brendan Cole and Vincent Simone, who've all taken part in the popular survival reality show. He recently helped his mum by cleaning her loft and wasn't keen on the amount of spiders he came face-to-face with. This may prove interesting as the show progresses.
