The Big Beano Record Breaking Challenge!
Beano are now the Guinness World Record title holder for largest Finish the Comic Strip competition!
Here at Beano, we can’t stop breaking records!
Not only are we officially the Guinness World Records title holder for the longest-running comic published weekly (currently at 3952 editions. Phew!), we’ve also just achieved the title for the largest ‘Finish the Comic Strip’ competition!
So what’s a ‘Finish the Comic Strip’ competition when it’s at home, you may ask?
Well, to celebrate the opening of the completely blam-tastic V&A Dundee, we asked visitors to the museum to complete a specially made Beano comic strip, starring some of our brilliant characters, Dennis, Minnie and The Bash Street Kids. After a lot of scribbling, there were stacks of entries that helped break the record!
Not only that but one entry will be selected to be shown in V&A Dundee itself. What a work of art!
