There's a rule in German football where every senior team needs to have at least 4 people on the squad who came up through their youth training programme. FC Erzgebirge Aue only had 3, but their kit man had been part of the training programme, so BAM, he became part of the squad!
So, as a non-footballer, he's actually doing pretty well!
