Murder Mystery Quiz
There’s been a murder at the Beanotown Wasp Club and the killer is on the loose! Can you catch the culprit in this criminally daft whodunnit quiz?
Disaster has struck the Beanotown annual Wasp Appreciation Society meeting! The secretary, Hornetta Yellowjacket, has been murdered! But who would do such a dastardly thing? As Private Investigator Hugh E. McDonut, it’s your job to get to the bottom of the mystery.
You’ll need all your detective skills if you want to solve the mystery! Read the clues and trust your instincts!
You arrive at the scene of the crime. Who do you interview first?
You interview each of them in the library. Feeby says he saw Rachel Swoop visiting Hornetta Yellowjacket on the night of the murder. He says he never liked Rachel, as bat experts don't belong at wasp club. What do you think?
Next you interview Sven. He says after retiring he took an interest in wasps, and would never do anything to harm the club. He says he liked Hornetta a lot, and he looks sad when he talks about the fatal night. What do you think, detective?
Next is Rachel. She says she went to Hornetta’s room the night she was killed, but only to ask her for advice on her next podcast, “BATZONE”. She said she bumped into the butler on the way out. Her and Hornetta were friends, although they sometimes argued about whether bats or wasps are better.
You decide to search Hornetta’s belongings. You find a box of raisins, some string, a large suitcase full of cash and some wasp repellent. Which of those things should you investigate?
You decide to check the accounts for the wasp club, and find that Hornetta took all the money out the day before she died! But the money is still in her room. So…
You find a letter from Hornetta’s doctor. It reads “Dear Hornetta, I can confirm your recent wasp allergy diagnosis. I know this will be hard to hear. Please call to discuss next steps”. What could this mean?
You catch the butler snooping around so you search his room too. You don’t find any money, but you do find hundreds of books about wasps. This is strange as he previously said he preferred moths. Is this suspicious?
Clara Voyancie has finally appeared, after being deep in meditation since Hornetta’s death. She refuses to answer your questions, and just hisses before waving a crystal ball about and disappearing back into her room.
You have seen the evidence and interviewed everyone. You have found lots of useful information, but no clear murder weapon, motive, or killer. What does your gut say, Detective? Who was the killer?

He couldn’t have that, and decided to stop her - not so he could take the money, but so he could take over as the Secretary and do a better job of looking after his beloved wasps. Well, Feeby - now to feel the full sting of the law!
