What Do I Look Like Quiz?

In the first century – we're talking AD, folks – when the Romans went one better and mastered the art of glass-making, which helped create glass mirrors. These mirrors were costly items and usually were purchased by the more wealthy members of society. As time went on, glass-making became even more advanced, which meant even more people could practice their rock guitarist poses throughout medieval Europe.

Yet, it wasn't until the 19th century, that mirror were accessible to everyone. The Industrial Revolution advanced mirror-making techniques, as they replaced the silvering process – that's the layer of material below the glass to make it reflective – with aluminium which was much cheaper.

These days, mirrors are everywhere. In homes, schools, toilets and in changing rooms in department stores. Lots to reflect on there, we think you'll agree.

But what if mirrors simply didn't exist? How would you style your hair before school? Look into a puddle or rely on the honesty of your family or friends? That seems like too much trouble.
