1. It takes us to a time we've never explored

The Harry Potter books are set in the 1990s, and the Fantastic Beasts saga is set in the 1920s - but Hogwarts Legacy will take you all the way back to the 1890s!

2. Your character is totally yours

In Hogwarts Legacy your character is totally customisable - you can pick your house, your wand, and your wardrobe!

3. You can explore all of Hogwarts!

Ever watch the Potter movies and feel upset you can't explore the castle? Well, Hogwarts Legacy is your new BFF! You can go all over Hogwarts and the surrounding area, including Hogsmeade, Diagon Alley and the Forbidden Forest!

4. You can fight!

Legacy has a combat mode that will let you defend yourself against dark wizards and evil creatures! You can also unlock spells from the dark side - spooky!

5. It has a Harry Potter star in the cast!

British actor Luke Youngblood voices Everett Clopton in the game. If you think his voice sounds familiar, you're right - he also played Lee Jordan in the films!

6. There are SO MANY secrets

If you're a Harry Potter fan you'll remember all the secret passages from the books and also the previous games. Legacy won't let you down in this department - the game is chock-a-block with secrets just waiting to be found by keen players! Here's a little hint: why not try casting spells on special fireplaces and see what happens?

7. You can be a boy or a girl!

The protagonist you play as can actually be a boy or a girl depending on your preference! This is fun and it makes the game more accessible to everyone!

8. You're not a first year!

When you start the game you're playing as a new student to Hogwarts who is transferring for their fifth year. This is awesome because you don't have to wait to go to Hogsmeade or play Quidditch!

9. You get to meet a totally new cast of characters

Because the story is set so long ago you get to meet COMPLETELY new characters who didn't come up in the books or the films! There are a couple of characters we've met before (like Phineas Nigellus Black), but mostly it's all new territory!

10. You can learn about other wizarding schools!

We've met a few characters from other schools before, but Hogwarts Legacy will let you meet even more international wizards! Natsai Onai, your Gryffindor friend, is from the African wizard school Uagadou - now that's cool!

11. You can play it on so many platforms

Hogwarts Legacy is available on every major platform - PS5, PS4, PS4 Pro, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One consoles, Nintendo Switch and PC. No matter what your gaming preference is, you'll be sorted!
