Beano Superstars – Scotty

My name is James Scott Cameron but my friends call me Scotty. I’m one of the shortest people in my class at Bash Street School but I make up for it by being one of the shoutiest - stand small, shout tall, that's what I always say.

I’m friends with practically everyone in my class, but I’d say my best friends were Danny and Sidney. That’s not to say we don’t have the occasional scrap too, but it’s all in good fun. My worst enemy is Cuthbert Cringeworthy. He’s always telling Mr. Teacher what we’re doing so I’m surprised he gets any work done. I don’t like people who tell tales, especially people who don’t like having fun., and especially people who don't like having fun called Cuthbert.

I come from a very loud, very spotty family. We’re originally from Castlemilk in Glasgow, and I live with my mum and dad, my baby brother Brian and Blotty the dog on the eighth floor of Bash Street Towers. My mum and dad – they’re called Audrey and David – met in a pharmacy and that’s where they’ve worked to this day.

Apart from the spots on my head – 89 at the last count and they're ALL beauty spots – I’m known for wearing a really long black and white tie, but it could actually be a normal sized one. Who knows? Either way, it comes in very useful during life at the Bash Street School. Let’s just say it’s been used to get us all out of some sticky situations!

I’m also known for being really sarcastic and starting arguments with literally anyone. My dad says I could start an argument in an empty room. If I did, I would easily win the argument. Not with any skill. I’m just really, REALLY LOUD!

Bonus fact: James Scott Cameron's nickname used to be Spotty - but you know what? There's more to Scotty than just being spotty! No-one is defined simply by the way they look - not even Bash Street's teacher (who does admittedly look very much like a teacher!)
