Spongebob was originally going to be called Spongeboy Ahoy. However the makers realised that 'Spongeboy' is actually the name of a mop, so a new name was invented!

2. The giant David Hasselhoff

For the Spongebob Movie they made a 12 foot statue of actor David Hasselhoff. David Hasselhoff then got to keep it. Maybe it's in his house!
