How to Draw Something for Mother’s Day

Start by writing MUM

or put whatever you call your mum - Ma, Mam, Mother, Batman

Then simply draw some good shapes to build up a pattern

It works well if you start in the middle and work your way out until you're happy with what it looks like

Keep it symmetrical if you can

Don't worry about getting it perfect, but try and make it even by drawing the same thing on either side

Once you're done, give it some colour

A good shout is to use your mum's favourite colours. If you don't know her favourite colours just use ALL THE COLOURS!

Add something extra in the middle

You can put a sticker, or a photo of your mum, or a little message - anything you like to make it that little bit more special

Then simply cut it out and stick it to some coloured card to give to your mum!

(When you're asking an adult to help you with the cutting - get someone other than your mum!! Otherwise it'll spoil the surprise!)

Or you can just stick it wherever you like!
