1943 Beano Book

At the height of World War Two, with paper rationing in full effect, Beano and Dandy comics were already being published on alternating weeks. To help this, the Magic comic would share annual pages with the Beano for the coming years.

Eggo Meets Koko

The mascot of the Magic comic, Koko the Pup, teamed up with Beano's Big Eggo, to appear in the first Magic-Beano strip.

Comics Collide!

The Magic comic had a slightly younger readership, but brought characters that were just as whimsical and entertaining as the Beano favourites.

Artists of the Era

Many Beano artists were renowned for their work on other DC Thomson publications - Peter Piper here looks suspiciously like Oor Wullie!
