Who is Professor von Screwtop?
Professor Norbert von Screwtop is Rubi's dad, and he's in charge of Beanotown's Top Secret Research Station. That means he's the best scientist in Beanotown. Well, probably.His deadly rival, Professor Pfooflepfeffer (try saying that with a mouthful of marshmallows!) from WilburCorp, would say differently, of course!The Prof loves Rubi more than anything else, even his collection of vintage Armenian test tubes.Dennis, JJ and Pieface think the Prof is cool and hilarious at the same time. Life's never dull at the Top Secret Research Station!
But what does Professor von Screwtop do?
Professor von Screwtop is always inventing cool solutions to problems people don't know they have.He could make a Hadron collider out of two yoghurt pots and one of those funny old record players you see all over the place these days. He's invented thousands of things in his career, but two of the things he's most proud of are:Glow-in-the-dark slippers - so you don't have to turn on the light to find them in the middle of the night. Unfortunately, he made them glow so brightly that he has to wear sunglasses to fall asleep.A robotic dog with jaws nearly as strong as Gnasher's - so Rubi can say 'my dog ate my homework' without lying to Mrs Creecher.
